There Vicenza-Bionde, the classic in-line cycling race for Elite-U23, will blow out 80 candles on April 28th. An achievement that will be adequately celebrated and which is already attracting great interest among two-wheel enthusiasts. A moment between history, sport and tradition in which the athletes and teams involved will compete on the streets of Verona. The race will start from Soave at 2.00 pm, will cross the Veronese plain, arriving in Bionde di Salizzole (Verona).
The Veronese race, born in 1945 from Renato Chiaramonte’s love for two wheels, returns on Sunday 28 April for the 80th edition: “For our company, reaching the milestone of eighty editions has a special meaning and represents a further responsibility in taking care of the entire organization in the best possible way. To enrich the wait for content and news, we thought of this series of events which immediately met with an enthusiastic response from enthusiasts and the local area. This fact can only make us happy and proud, we can’t wait to celebrate the eightieth edition with another spectacular and exciting race as is now tradition for Vicenza-Bionde” declared the President of Us Bionde, Filippo Scipioni.
On the occasion of Vicenza-Bionde’s eightieth birthday, US Bionde will also organize a special event for all the runners who have had the honor of winning the race over the years. The aim is to bring together on stage, together with the winner of the eightieth edition, all the former winners of the past, regardless of the year of their victory. A special occasion to celebrate their dedication to cycling and their contribution to the long history of Vicenza-Bionde, which began in the spring of 1945.
US Bionde invites all cycling-loving sports friends to contact and inform the former winners they know, encouraging and helping them (think of the older ones) to participate in this special event.
All former winners will be given a special recognition by US Bionde, symbol of an uninterrupted line of passion and dedication that has marked the Italian history of the pedal from 1945 to 2024.
