It will be a Saturday evening dedicated to sport that will enliven the central Piazza Maria Immacolata. In fact, very young athletes will be the protagonists of a series of disciplines, such as Rugby, in which they can try their hand in absolute safety and in the name of healthy fun.
Inserted within the program of sporting events planned by the Events, Sport and Culture Directorate of the Municipality of Taranto, the event is called “Multisport Day-sports festival” and will have as its aim the dissemination for social and educational purposes of those sports practices capable to contribute not only to the socio-economic development of the area, but also to provide a precious opportunity for understanding and valorising our city.
The event, organized by the ASD Amatori Sport Taranto with the patronage and co-organization of the civic body and the Italian Rugby Federation, will start at 6pm and continue until 10pm with the offer of games and skills to all those who intend to participate. In this regard, it should be noted that the event will be free of charge and open to all social groups in order to encourage the widest possible participation.

“Multisport Day – sports festival – added deputy mayor Gianni Azzaro– is part of the extensive program of events that the Municipality has planned for the whole year. As I have already argued in other circumstances, the objective is to spread the culture and values of sport among citizens because we believe that sporting activity has benefits not only from a psychophysical point of view, but also on an inclusive and of socialization. All this without neglecting the undoubted economic returns.
