A 31-year-old elevator maintenance worker died after being stuck between the cabin and the door of one floor of the elevator of an apartment building in Aci Sant’Antonio where he was working. The worker’s body was freed by the firefighters of the Acireale detachment of the provincial command of Catania. The 118 doctors confirmed the death of the 31-year-old. A woman who was inside the elevator cabin was rescued by medical personnel because she was in shock. The Carabinieri also intervened on site to investigate the case.
