How to sign up for the Registry
All companies of any legal form operating in any economic sector, with uninterrupted exercise of activity within the same product sector for a period of no less than 100 years, can register in the Register. This time requirement must have accrued by December 31st of the year preceding registration. For the purposes of evaluating historicity, the fundamental reference criterion is that of the substantial continuity of the activity which, beyond any changes linked to technological evolution, changes in the products or reference markets, changes in the legal form of the company, its name or ownership or headquarters, must remain connected to the original one and in
same sector.
Interested companies submit through the tenders promoted by Unioncamere:
• a brief report on the life of the company from its establishment to today, from which the historical continuity of the company emerges in particular;
• copy of the historical documentation useful to demonstrate the date of start of the activity or of the establishment, if these do not coincide with those resulting from the chamber of commerce certificate.
