Everything is ready for the twelfth edition of MinifestiOval ‘Luigi Coraggi’, a national minirugby tournament organized by ASD Foligno Rugby and reserved for the Under 8, 10, 12 categories, with parallel activities also for the little ones (Under 6). The event, with free entry, will take place on Sunday 21 April in the ‘A. Macellari’ of Foligno, in via Rubicone in the Campo di Marte area and will see the participation of around 500 children and 12 sports clubs, Umbrian of course but also from Lazio, Marche and Tuscany. The start is scheduled for 10am. The matches of the different categories will follow, the ‘third half’ and the finals, starting from 2.15pm, and then closing with the awards ceremony at 4pm. The first three teams classified in the three categories will be awarded prizes and, as per tradition, the company that comes from furthest away will be awarded the ‘Maurizio Santocchi’ Audace Trophy. “The MinifestiOval tournament – declared the organizers – is a way to remember who brought rugby to Foligno, that is Luigi Coraggi, a pioneer of our sport in Umbria. The event also wants to celebrate the values of rugby, namely tenacity, determination, friendship; the same friendship that will make you leave the competitive spirit on the pitch to all meet together in the third half, the moment in which sport gives way to sociality.
