Pittelli and Arvalia’s result is a source of satisfaction for the entire city

Truly an extraordinary page of sport and healthy pride for our city, the result achieved by the very young Gianluca Pittelli of Arvalia Nuoto Lamezia who, after winning the 100m breaststroke in 2022, took home the silver in the 100m breaststroke at the National Criteria Youth 2024 becoming Italian vice champion

Thanks to Gianluca and Arvalia, the world of Lamezo sport stands out once again at a national level, with a result that is the result of passion, commitment and teamwork.

A silver that rewards first of all the talent and determination of a young athlete who, from Crotone where he lives and studies, comes to train several times a week in our municipal swimming pool “Salvatore Giudice”, with all that entails in terms of sacrifices and sacrifices , sending a positive message to many of his peers and to many athletes in our region about the possibility of achieving goals through daily work.

Behind this great result, the great work done by the technical staff must be underlined and appreciated: starting from the technical director Francesco Strangis, up to the assistant coach Niccolò De Giorgio and the athletic trainer Simone Nicotera.

But Gianluca Pittelli’s result is just the icing on the cake for Arvalia who managed to qualify 11 athletes for National Criteria 2024: Paola Barreca, Riccardo D’Ippolito, Aurora Furci, Cristina Galati, Leonardo Grasso, Martina Maglia, Gabriele Mascaro, Gabriele Muggeri, Domenico Strangis, Angelo Talarico.

Demonstrating the great work done by a company that in recent years has achieved important national goals thanks to the professionalism of the director of the municipal swimming pool Carmen Mazzei, the president Simone Bernardini and a technical staff that has inherited the legacy of the late Massimo Boracci and which has made our municipal swimming pool a point of reference for competitive swimming at a regional level, a sporting reality of our city that trains and invests in the new generations.
