Thirteen years after the opening of the continuity agreement procedure, the Parma Agricultural Consortium today sees the successful conclusion of the judicial process which has allowed the governance, which at the time assumed responsibilities and the related business risks, to be able to continue the activity and today achieve the economic-financial objectives that currently reward Cap with success in all the sectors in which it operates to support the agricultural world and beyond.
The decree – communicates the Consortium – was issued by the bankruptcy section of the Court of Parma with a ruling from judges Ioffredi, Vittoria and Vernizzi, after hearing the Commissioners Vincenzo Piazza, Luca Orefici and Marco Bellora, with a positive opinion from the Creditors’ Committee (Novatex, Sumitomo , Credit Agricole).
The president of Cap Giorgio Grenzi: “13 years after the opening of the file, Cap returns to ‘performing’, i.e. to full activity, closing the liquidation phase. For us who have strongly believed in the potential of this procedure and have continued to work every day with sacrifice in the industrial branch, continuing and effectively improving all our performances on the market, a virtuous circle is closing today. I thank the agricultural component that worked at the time to obtain this procedure, the shareholders’ meetings and the boards of directors and the mayors who succeeded one another, the directors, the auditors, the staff, the agents, customers and suppliers and of course the Court and the Commissioners and the Creditors’ Committee who brought us a welcome thank you for what we have done in recent years. A round of applause therefore to all those who believed in the rebirth from the beginning and who with professionalism have rewritten the history of one of the most prosperous cooperatives in our province today, as 130 years ago”.
