The scuffles

There are eighteen additional Daspos issued by the police commissioner of Perugia against the same number of Perugia Calcio fans who last March 23rd, during the match played at the ‘Curi’ between the red and whites and Pineto, had started scuffles all within the Grifo fans , implementing conduct that the police headquarters defines as «serious and dangerous for public order and safety. On this occasion – we read in the note from the state police – numerous fans threw child seats and smoke bombs into the North Curve of the ‘Curi’ stadium. Such conduct had led the referee to suspend the match for a few minutes.” Last March 28, the first three Daspos were issued to as many fans arrested by Digos, who were then subjected to the mandatory signature measure. «The 18 provisions – explains the note – will prohibit the recipients from accessing football, Italian Cup, international cups and championship sporting events for a period ranging from 5 to 10 years, taking into account the seriousness of the individual conduct and of previous prejudices”. The State Police also announces that «in the same context the prefect of Terni, on the proposal of the Perugia police headquarters, also ordered the ban on the employment, at all national sports facilities, of five stewards who, on the occasion of the Perugia-Pineto football match, allowed illegal access to the stadium by some fans without valid entry permits.”
