RUBIERA (Reggio Emilia) – The head-on collision then the crash: one of the two cars involved ends up against a light pole. The scene was presented to the rescuers who intervened in San Faustino di Rubiera for the accident in which three people were injured, one, a 71-year-old woman, quite seriously.

It happened at 7.50 in via Tassarola at the intersection with via degli Oratori. For reasons currently under investigation, the two cars, a Punto and a T-Rock, collided head-on. The Punto went off the road and ended up hitting the public lighting system, which was damaged. 118 sent three ambulances and a medical vehicle to the scene, and the Fire Brigade also arrived and managed to extract one of the people involved from the wreckage. The 71-year-old suffered chest trauma and was rushed to Reggio Hospital. Two other women, both 63 years old, were also taken to Santa Maria Nuova because they were injured, although less seriously. A 32-year-old man was practically unharmed, but was nevertheless transferred to hospital. Reggio Emilia traffic police officers will reconstruct the exact causes of the accident. Enel staff also arrived in via Tassarola: it was necessary to fix the control unit and the lighting system, which had been put out of action by the impact with the Punto.
