The ten matches of the thirty-sixth day of Group B Serie D will be played on Sunday 21 April at 3pm. Varesina will host Ponte San Pietro in Venegono Superiore to smile again and get out of this long crisis. Castellanzese will be called upon to compete against second-placed Piacenza.

VARESINA – ST. PETER’S BRIDGE
Mister Marco Spilli’s team awaits the home match against the bottom team in the group. The Phoenixes aim to find their smile again and achieve a success that has been missing for four games. This period of enormous difficulty has practically eliminated the chances of winning Group B, also calling into question their participation in the playoffs. In the last round the rossoblù returned home with just one point from the away match in Verano Brianza, thanks to the disappointing draw obtained in the match against Legnano. In the meantime, Arconatese obtained a similar result in the home match against Folgore Caratese. Therefore, the ranking situation remained unchanged with the two teams tied in fifth place with Varesina currently competing in the post-season thanks to the best goal difference. Ponte San Pietro, already mathematically relegated, comes from a negative result against Brusaporto, who interrupted a positive streak of two consecutive victories. In the first leg, Varesina won with a daring 5-4 in Bergamo.

CASTELLANZESE – PIACENZA
Castellanzese will host the second strength of Group B, Piacenza, at the “Provasi” on Sunday. The red and whites coached by Mister Rossini saw themselves overtaken by Caldiero Terme following the home draw against Clivense. In the meantime, the thermal team managed to overcome the black-green team coached by Mister Fiorenzo Roncari and returned to the top. In Castellanza two teams will clash in search of precious points for their respective objectives. The hosts must try at all costs not to lose further ground against Real Calepina, who are now at +3. On the other hand, the Wolves will want to at least try to keep up with the yellow-green team coached by Cristian Soave. The neroverdi must also watch their backs, because Legnano, thanks to a series of five consecutive useful results, has moved to just three points and in view of a playout derby it is essential to try to qualify with the best position, since it would mean having the advantage of playing the single match at home. In the first leg, Piacenza made the most of home advantage and won 1-0.
