The fire brigade team of the Catanzaro Command, Lamezia Terme detachment, is busy on the SS280 towards Lamezia Terme due to a road accident. One of the cars involved was a Toyota Yaris which, for reasons currently under investigation (probably a road surface made slippery by the rain), lost control and initially struck the New Jersey road markings, then the guardrail and then stopped close to the New Jersey jersey.
The only driver on board was injured and was removed and immobilized on a spinal stretcher by fire personnel. The unfortunate person entrusted to the care of the Suem118 healthcare staff was transferred to a hospital facility. Traffic problems in the section affected by the accident, traffic on a single lane. Carabinieri and traffic police are on site for the relevant obligations.
