The best years in Naples?
“Everyone. I can’t wait to go back to live in Naples without football, so as to enjoy the city as best as possible. Every year I have seen some beautiful things.”

“It had never happened in Serie A to lose by 91 points, it was a bad thing.”

Last year’s Scudetto?
“I left, relaunching myself in a new project, but keeping an eye on my old companions. After so many years of playing together, we become like a family. I knew it meant a lot for Napoli and for all the players. I celebrated from afar too.”

“I still feel with many of my old teammates, with Ghoulam, Reina, Jorginho. I think I found 12 players who were still there when I was here, it was nice to see them again.”

My future?
“I don’t know the answer yet, if I do something I want to concentrate 100%. Now I’m only focused on Galatasaray.”

“No, because after many years in Naples I had become a fan. I know what it means for Napoli, I also wanted to win it but I had missed this opportunity. I still enjoyed it, I watched all the games and they played beautiful football.”

“I couldn’t do it anymore, I became a little slower (laughs, ed.)”.
