In the heart of Udine, precisely inside the bar of the Hotel Ramandolo located in via Forni di Sotto, a public order situation attracted the attention of the police on Tuesday morning. Two young people, already visibly altered, were involved in an episode of turbulence after the bartender refused to serve them further alcoholic drinks.
Police intervention
Two police teams promptly intervened on the scene to manage the escalation of tension. One of the young people, who was particularly aggressive, began to insult the officers in threatening tones, even attempting to start a physical confrontation. The situation required decisive intervention to immobilize the individual and prevent more serious consequences.
Resistance and legal consequences
The young man’s partner attempted to prevent the arrest by physically inserting himself between the friends and the officers. Their conduct during the transfer and stay in the offices of the Flying Squad was such as to lead to the arrest of both for resisting a public official and to a complaint in state of freedom for insulting a public official, in addition to the sanction for disorderly drunkenness.
Validation hearing and current situation
The two arrested, Italians aged 21 and 23 and not new to similar episodes, were presented before the Court of Udine. The judge validated the arrest and ordered their release pending trial.
