Football, Alberico Evani presents his book at the Milan Club in Faenza

As a footballer he won everything with the Rossoneri. As a coach he was on Mancini’s staff in the 2021 European Championship victory

The Milan Club Faenza “Carlo Sangiorgi” proposes the “Rossonera Primavera” with an exceptional guest, Alberico Evani who on Tuesday 23 April (7.30 pm) will be the protagonist of a meeting organized for members and sports enthusiasts at the registered office in Rione Verde, in via Cavour, 37.

Evani as a footballer for Milan won everything: three Italian Championships, one Italian Super Cup, two European Cups, one European Super Cup and two Intercontinental Cups. In the final of the first of the two Intercontinental Championships in Tokyo on 17 December 1989, he scored the decisive goal from a free kick against the Colombians of Atletico Nacional of Medellin in the last minute of extra time, and was awarded at the end of the match as best player of the match . Ten days earlier he had been the architect of Milan’s success in the European Super Cup against Barcelona, ​​also scoring in that match from a free kick. He made a total of 393 games, scoring 19 goals with the Rossoneri shirt.

He was then coach of the Rossoneri youth sector for many years, winning the national Allievi title and then being called to be part of the Azzurri technical staff until becoming assistant to Roberto Mancini of the Italian national team who became European Champion in 2021.

He will present his book entitled to the Faenza public “Don’t call me Bubu”, written with the journalist Lucilla Granata. In the book Evani talks about football, but not only. He narrates his personal story, his football life, his affections with so much humanity and an elegance of soul that has always distinguished him.
