We need a nose against drug dealing: 42 people reported to the Prefecture

In recent days, the Financiers of the Provincial Command of Taranto have implemented a series of interventions throughout the provincial territory aimed at combating illicit trafficking, with particular regard to the dealing of narcotic substances.

The anti-drug checks, carried out with the aid of the canine units of the Taranto Guardia di Finanza Group, involved, in the various time slots of the day, the port ports and railway stations as well as the most popular accommodation facilities and meeting places among young people.

Thanks to the infallible “sniff” of the German shepherds “BASCO” and “FAGOT”, the Financiers of the Taranto Group found narcotic substances hidden inside backpacks and cars in the possession of the controlled persons.

At the end of the service operations, the Fiamme Gialle of the Taranto Group seized numerous doses of hashish, marijuana, heroin and cocaine, reporting 42 perpetrators to the Prefectural Authority.

The activities in question fall within the scope of a broader mechanism to combat illicit trafficking implemented by the Fiamme Gialle, in order to prevent and repress the serious phenomenon of drug consumption, especially by young people.
