Latina, fake physiotherapist raped patients (even minors) during treatments: arrested

At the end of a judicial police investigation carried out on behalf of the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Latina, the Financiers of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Latina carried out an order for the application of the precautionary measure of house arrest, with the simultaneous application of the electronic bracelet , issued by the Judge for Preliminary Investigations of the Court of Latina, against a man seriously suspected of having committed acts of sexual violence against several women, including a minor, and of illegally practicing the profession of physiotherapist.

The Finance Police did not release the name of the arrested person.

The investigations, also conducted through technical investigations, acquisition of declarations and documentary examinations, made it possible to reconstruct evidence regarding the commission of multiple acts of violence by the subject against female clients of the “studio” managed by the aforementioned.

Treatments that resulted in abuse

In the hypothesis of accusation, the violent conduct would have occurred, on several occasions, during the administration of alleged “physiotherapy, cryotherapy and pressotherapy” treatments, without consent and taking advantage of the psychological and physical fragility of the women and stealing their trust.

The order issued also provides for the preventive seizure of the amateur sports association, used as a gym, as a formal legal entity in whose capacity the professional activity was carried out, found to be carried out in the absence of the required educational qualifications, the required qualification and the necessary registration on the register, as well as the premises, equipment and systems used.

«Conducted in full synergy with the Public Prosecutor’s Office of Latina, the investigation has demonstrated, once again, how indispensable it is, as an impetus to the repression of every form of mistreatment, harassment or violence against women, the courage of the same not to remain silent and the strength and trust to rely on and turn to the Police Force, asking them for help and support”, the Financial Police says.
