Grosseto: A morning dedicated toeducation on affectivity and the problems of gender violence for Graphics and Communication Technician students Polo Bianciardi of Grosseto. Guiding the young people in this journey made up of reflections, testimonies and debates are the president of the Commission for Equality and Equal Opportunities of the Municipality of Grosseto Carla Minacci, the president of the Grosseto anti-violence center “Tutto è vita Elisabetta Fiorilli” Giusy Esposito and Sabrina Cionini author of the book “A morning like many”who went into the classrooms to talk to the kids about a problem that often involves them personally.
The project, promoted by professors Irene Nappi and Simonetta Baccetti, is part of the affective education laboratory, included in the INDIRE PATHS experimental project, which proposes the teaching of philosophy in technical and professional schools. The path was focused on the concepts of violence, soul, body and freedom, to make the kids reflect and bring them to greater awareness of these issues.
The laboratory started in January and involved the students of classes 4A, 4B, 3A and 3B of the Technical address for graphics and communication, with a cycle of meetings in the classes, during which the problem of gender violence and violence against women, also through the reading of some passages from Sabrina Cionini’s autobiographical book “A morning like many”, which tells her story of violence and rebirth.
The author wanted to tell her experience to the students, also explaining how to recognize the first signs of a toxic relationship and how to get out of it. The author and the other speakers warned the girls against what may appear to be attention and displays of love on the part of their partner and which, instead, may reveal the wrong attitudes of a relationship based on the desire for possession. Furthermore, the speakers responded to the numerous questions and curiosities from the students by providing them with useful indications and information on the people to turn to even just for advice.
