The FIP, Italian Basketball Federation, has made official the complete program of the Under19 Eccellenza National Finals which will take place between the sports halls of Chiusi and Chianciano Terme from 29 April to 5 May and which will also see the red and white team as protagonists, fresh from qualification thanks to the first place achieved in the interregional phase in the group with the other Tuscan and Lazio teams.
We remind you that Pistoia Basket Junior was placed in group B with Vis 2008 Ferrara, Pallacanestro Varese and Fortitudo Basket Francavilla. The red and whites’ first match is scheduled for next April 29th at 8pm, at the Estra Forum in Chiusi, against the Este team. The results of the first day, then, will determine the calendar of the subsequent matches: in the event of a victory on the debut, Pistoia would play the second match on 30 April at 8pm in Chianciano Terme with the loser of the other match on Monday (i.e. Francavilla-Varese ) and on May 1st at 4 pm in Chiusi against the winner of the same; in the event of a knockout on the debut, however, Pistoia would play the second match on 30 April at 6 pm in Chianciano against the winner of the other match of the group and the third match on 1 May at 4 pm, again in Chianciano Terme, against the loser of the other match on the first day.
At the end of the first phase, the first place in each group will qualify for the quarter-finals while the second and third places will have to face a play-off match (scheduled for 2 May) to advance one round while those who finish in fourth place will immediately finish the own adventure. The quarter-finals are scheduled for May 3rd, the semi-finals on Saturday 4th and the finals for 1st and 3rd place on Sunday 5th, again at the Estra Forum in Chiusi.
