(ANSA) – MONZA, APRIL 18 – The recovery of Dany Mota Carvalho is at the top of the agenda of the Monza coach, Raffaele Palladino, in view of Sunday evening’s match against Atalanta at the U-Power Stadium. The Portuguese, who was injured during the home match against Napoli, remains in doubt for the match against the Bergamo team, after having already seen him from the stands last round in Bologna, due to the sprained ankle suffered against the Neapolitans. Compared to the starting eleven that took to the field at Dall’Ara last week, Monza will not even have Jean Daniel Akpa Akpro available: the Ivorian midfielder, in fact, will serve a one-match suspension against Atalanta due to bookings. In his place Palladino could move back to the 4-2-3-1 Matteo Pessina, who is instead destined to remain in the attacking midfield in the event of Roberto Gagliardini’s departure from the first minute, alongside Warren Bondo.

For the other two places close to the lone striker, Alessio Zerbin and Andrea Colpani ahead of Daniel Maldini and Valentin Carboni. Meanwhile, defender Luca Caldirola returns from suspension: with him Monza has an alternative to the back pack in a consolidated 4-man lineup with Samuele Birindelli, Armando Izzo, Pablo Marì and Andrea Carboni.
