Like every weekend Slowtravels.it Cultural Association in collaboration with the Accademia Cittadella Nicolaiana propose emotional history tours in Italian: a different way of seeing the treasures of the City and with the exclusive “free contribution” formula: you leave a contribution for the association as much as the tour has enriched you and according to your possibilities.

By registering for each tour you have the right to enter the Nicolaiano Museum at the reduced price of €3 instead of €8.

Friday 3rd 4.30pm Unknown Underground Monasteries, a journey between Palazzo Simi, the underground monastery of San Benedetto, the Museum of Ancient Pigments, the Greek Monastery and “the Roman theater of Bari”.

Friday 3rd 7.30pm Bari Mysteriosa, two hours of love, poisoning, legends and mysteries. The stories of Alfredo Giovine will accompany us on a splendid walk through history and traditions, accompanied by a very Baresi “Peroni sweaty”

Saturday 4th 4.30pm Underground Tales, underground stories. From the solar alignment of the Summer Solstice in the Cathedral, to the medieval bestiary. Sunday 5th 10.00am “The City of Women”
The great women of Bari’s history: between genetics and paragenetics we will explore the presence of the “feminine” in the history of the city, from the Madonnas to the witches, to the finds from the Archaeological Museum of Santa Scolastica up to an unexpected epilogue on the new sociology.

Sunday 5 at 6.00 pm “St. Nicholas of Myra, St. Nicholas of Baresi”.
The Nicolaiano Museum opens its doors after the canonical opening hours for an identity journey of the city of Bari. “Our Saint Nicholas” will be told through the precious finds with a fascinating story. Ticket only €3 instead of €8, children free and photos with the Saint Nicholas figure.
