Lamezia, ‘in line on the internet – a rule saves lives’ project concluded

Lamezia Terme – In recent days in the auditorium of the Nicotera Costabile Comprehensive Institute, the final event of the project ‘In line on the internet – a rule saves lives’, proposed by the Meter Association and the Vivere in movement, took place. The two associations, represented for the occasion by the lawyer Annalisa Gioiello and the professor Maria Rita Di Cello, have been operating for many years in the Lamezo area in the context of emergency issues, which see the dignity and life of man affected and damaged .

“The project – they explain – was born with the aim of combating the dangers that derive from improper or unaccompanied use of the Internet by minors, raising their awareness of some emerging issues. L’internet universe, represents for them an extraordinary opportunity for learning and knowledge but also certainly a place where they can have experiences that will mark their lives forever. For the organizers, teaching how to use the web is a duty for every parent, teacher and adult, who must always be attentive to the evident fragility of minors. The event received the applause of the director Maria Angela Bilotti, present at the conference, who complimented the associations, the students of the third E, and the referring teacher Professor Raffaella Barberio”.

“This was echoed by the lawyer Giancarlo Nicotera, President of the City Council of Lamezia Terme, the councilor for culture and sport Luisa Vaccaro and Don Francesco Benvenuto, member of the diocesan commission for the protection of minors and vulnerable adults, who underlined the need to active support and careful synergy in this delicate historical moment, encouraging the kids to always collaborate in such delicate contexts and also praising their abilities demonstrated in the prepared event. The project path – it is finally said – included a necessary information phase, followed by a multifaceted activity, in which the young students were protagonists in practical and organizational activities, necessary as a moment of verification and personal growth. The laboratory results were presented in front of an audience of curious and interested young people.”
