FOLIGNO – No unfortunate events, but above all no incidents of a racial nature, Real Foligno and Fulginium both forfeit the match and will also have to pay a fine of 125 euros each.

This is what the sports judge decided (press release 180 bis) regarding the Under 15 5-a-side football championship match between Fulginium and Atletico Foligno.

The facts relating to this match, played in Montefalco, ended up in the newspapers this morning following a note sent by the Real Foligno club signed by Massimo Pacico, general manager of the Foligno club.

The document talks about a situation that is surreal to say the least if you think about children under 15. on the pitch there were unprecedented acts of violence, spitting, threats and even racial insults of which however there is absolutely no trace in the referee’s report.

match of 4/16/2024 FULGINIUM – REAL FOLIGNO C5

Given that in the 13th minute of the first half a fight broke out involving fans and members of both teams; that scuffles broke out both on the pitch and in the stands; that although the race director asked the officials to have the police intervene, this request remained without practical effect; that considering that the conditions for the continuation of the match no longer existed, the match director was forced to decree the end prematurely and that the responsibility for the interruption of the match must be ascribed to both clubs.

RESOLUTION

1) The sporting sanction of losing the match with a result of 0-6 for both clubs;

2) The fine of Euro 125.00 to be paid by both companies

Following the release of Real Foligno’s note, sent to federal bodies, local newspapers and even Juventus (Fulginium is affiliated to the Juventus Academy), the Foligno club promptly responded.

“The news reported is absolutely false and biased and that, before bringing into play UNDERAGE footballers and those belonging to other FIGC clubs, it would have been appropriate to at least wait for the results of the Sports Justice.

Having said this, the club will protect itself in the appropriate places in the event that this letter is distributed without a real investigation of the facts, as it contains accusations (at least imaginative) that are decidedly harmful to its image, as well as the dignity and honorability of its players, technicians and managers. ASD Fulginium has been operating in youth football for 30 years and has always stood out for its distance from episodes of violence and racism. In any case, we reserve the right to reply in the event of the publication of untruthful information.”
