Atalanta and Roma are in the semi-finals of the Europa League, Milan out. Fiorentina is in the Conference League semi-finals. These are the verdicts of this Thursday’s European cups. Atalanta lost 1-0 against Liverpool in Bergamo but went through thanks to a 3-0 victory in the first leg of the quarter-finals. The match at the Olimpico between Roma and Milan ends 2-1, with the Giallorossi qualifying after beating the Rossoneri also at San Siro (1-0). After the 0-0 draw in the first leg, Fiorentina beat Viktoria Plzen 2-0 in extra time and continues their journey. Thanks to these results, Italy will have five teams in the new Champions League next year (ALL EUROPA LEAGUE HIGHLIGHTS).

Roma is in the semi-finals of the Europa League, Milan is eliminated. The second leg of the quarter-finals ends 2-1 for the Giallorossi: after the 1-0 in the first leg, De Rossi’s men also beat the Rossoneri at the Olimpico. The hosts take the lead after 12 minutes: Pellegrini shoots, the ball hits the post and returns to the feet of Mancini, who pushes it into the net. In the 20th minute Loftus Cheek crosses the ball. Fiorentina, in the second leg of the Conference League quarter-finals, won 2-0 in extra time against Viktoria Plzen and – after the 0-0 draw in the first leg – gained access to the semi-final. In the 90 minutes no goals, but many emotions. In the 31st minute Belotti hits the post with his head. In the 45th minute another woodwork for the Viola: Kouamé’s left-footed shot hits the crossbar. In the 67th minute Viktoria Plzen remained with ten men after Cadu’s expulsion. Nico Gonzalez broke the deadlock during the first extra half: in the 92nd minute, following a corner kick, he beat Jedlicka with a left-footed shot. It’s 1-0 for Fiorentina. In the 104th minute, third post for the home team: this time it was Martinez Quarta who hit the woodwork with a header. In the 108th minute the Viola doubled their lead: counterattack, Ikoné served Biraghi, who scored the final 2-0. It ends like this, with Fiorentina going through.
