At the Rosa-Gianturco High School in Potenza the national “Matteotti for schools” award

“We inform you that the institute you direct was the winner of the national “Matteotti per le scuola” competition”. This is the communication that the head teacher of the “Rosa-Gianturco” high school in Potenza received directly from the Minister for Education Giuseppe Valditara. This is an important national competition to remember Giacomo Matteotti, Italian politician, journalist and anti-fascist, secretary of the Unity Socialist Party, and his testimony of freedom and democracy.

The competition was announced by the Giacomo Matteotti Foundation – ETS and the Filippo Turati Historical Studies Foundation, in collaboration with the Ministry. For this edition, the participants in the Competition were asked to develop the following outline: “1924-2024: the testimony and legacy of Giacomo Matteotti one hundred years after his death”.

In particular, the school in the Lucanian capital was awarded the Matteotti prize for second level schools, multimedia category: “A salute to posterity”, by the student Bianca Leoci of the VH class of the “Rosa-Gianturco” high school (referent teacher Prof. .ssa Portia Fidanza).
