This year the city of Velletri will have the honor of hosting the Sacred Image of Mary Our Lady of Fatimawhich will arrive at the Palabandinelli and will head, with a solemn procession, to the parish of San Giovanni Battista, where it will remain until next June 24th, the feast day of the Patron Saint and the 30th anniversary of the Dedication of the Church in via Lando Conti.
During the route of the solemn procession, the Sacred Image will stop near the monumental site with the Lockheed F104 Starfighter aircraft of the Italian Air Force, which recalls the memory of the aviators who lost their lives in missions of peace, war and in particular all Veliterni pilots killed in the line of duty.
On this occasion the Municipal Administration will name this monument after the fallen Veliterni aviators, with the affixing of a commemorative plaque.
The arrival of the Sacred Image at the Palabandinelli is scheduled for Sunday 12 May 2024, in Via di Cori 1.3 at 5.30 pm, which will therefore be followed by the dedication of the commemorative plaque as well as the Eucharistic celebration presided over by HE Mons Stefano Russo at the Parish of San Giovanni Battista.
