From the next one May 13th and until Decemberthe choral action born by the will of Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation he was born in the municipality of Turin – in collaboration with the Foundation for Culture Turin – will return to involve the entire Piedmontese capital, through a variety of cultural events which will be accessible in every neighborhood and which will be developed with the support of Pio Office Foundation, Arci Turinthe Neighborhood Homes Networkthe Turin Solidarity Network.
With the aim of promoting and making citizens discover all the events and opportunities offered by “Culture around the corner” in the months to come, the next 2, 3 and 4 May will be held in the city 10 widespread parties. Many occasions organized by cultural institutions and local authorities involved in the initiative and in which the houses of the neighborhood, the civic libraries and the junctions of the Torino Solidale network they will come alive with concerts, shows theatrical, performance artistic, gamesscientific dissemination events and much more.
Starting from Monday 13 Maythe ordinary planning of the initiatives will instead begin, which includes a weekly event for each of the facilities involved.
A further significant moment of aggregation and sharing will be represented by the Autumn Festivals of Culture around the cornerscheduled from Thursday 12th to Saturday 14th September.
This year too the initiative will be made possible thanks to the invaluable contribution and active participation of many Turin* cultural realities that will manage the creation of over 240 events designed to enrich city life and for which it will be possible to register at one of the participating local centres, obtaining the free program card.
Main goal that of bring the cultural experience closer to peopleguaranteeing one easy use And promoting direct participation of cultural institutions and local centers to enhance the urban fabric.
For Alberto Anfossi, General Secretary of the Compagnia di San Paolo Foundation, “Culture around the corner” was born precisely to respond to the challenge of bringing culture a short distance from home, creating new opportunities for relationships, sharing and participation and is an initiative carried out through the valorisation of the city’s public meeting spaces and the construction of a network of collaborations with some of the most important public and cultural actors in Turin. In fact, change becomes possible thanks to territorial alliances, collective commitment, exchanges of skills and co-planning between all the forces in the field.
In its third edition, “Culture around the corner” aims to intensify collaboration with numerous cultural events in the city, such as the Turin Jazz Festival And MYTH for the city.
The 2024 programming of the initiative will also include the winning projects of the latest tenders promoted by the Municipality of Turin, financed by the Ministry of Culture for live shows and summer cultural activities.
This increase in programming promises to enrich the existing cultural offeroffering local communities an even wider range of artistic and cultural experiences.
