Vincenzo Botta and a life lived to the fullest

His name is Vincenzo Botta. He is 57 years old and has an almost forty-year career in the restaurant world behind him. He has been working at the Oste di Lucca in via Fillungo for a couple of years and, undoubtedly, his presence has enriched the place with professionalism and prestige. Vincenzo is the classic waitress who never loses control of the situation even in the, paradoxically, most delicate conditions. Confident, calm, he transmits serenity to his colleagues and is able to act only after thinking about what the best solution is without jumping in instinctively. With Matteo and Chiara Del Magro it was love at first sight. He started almost as a joke, with Comics, but Matteo, who is smart and knows how important staff are in a restaurant, stopped him and put him on the table. He thus discovered that he already had a good offer in Versilia, but without much preamble he offered him more and there was no hesitation. Vincenzo Botta is now part of the Del Magro family in all respects. Reserved, kind, polite, thoughtful, he prepared a surprise for the couple of the moment in Lucca, Dustin Hoffman and his wife: a personalized dessert complete with names next to each other and he earned their sympathy. Vincenzo attended the hotel institute in Ottaviano, a municipality in the metropolitan area of ​​Naples. After school, he tried to work in some hotel and restaurant businesses in the capital, but the few prospects pushed him to follow some friends who had tried the adventure abroad. So, he joined a friend in Germany, precisely in Munich where he worked for two years on the Promenadeplatz at the prestigious five-star luxury hotel Bayerischer Hof.

Upon returning to Italy, he moved to Montecatini Terme working at Grand Hotel Plaza & Locanda Maggiore in Piazza del Popolo for 12 years. Subsequently he landed at Principino sulla Passeggiata in Viareggio for another eight years. In 2015, a brief period in San Diego, California where he worked in an Italian restaurant called Little Italy. Once he returned to Italy after a year, he opened his own restaurant in Montecatini Terme, Delirio Messicano. In recent years he has held seasonal jobs in four and five star hotels and, for two years, he has put down roots in Lucca where he is very happy.
