Stabbing in via Carradori, man very serious after injuries suffered to the head
Descriptive text here

A man of Moroccan nationality in his 30s was seriously injured last night in via Carradori, where around one o’clock several people, for reasons to be ascertained, faced each other in the street, in a sort of brawl. The man was hit with a cutting weapon, perhaps a machete, and remained on the ground with serious wounds on his body and in particular on his head. Emergency services were called to the scene, sent by 118 and the Carabinieri who started the investigation. The man was transported to the Prato hospital, where, given the severity of the injuries to his skull, it was decided to transfer him to the Neurosurgery department of Careggi, where he underwent surgery, following which the prognosis remains reserved . It’s still too early to hypothesize the motive; the military’s investigations continue with listening to people close to the injured person, known to the police, and with the search for images useful for reconstructing the moments immediately before and after the event. The investigations by the Prato Prosecutor’s Office are continuing for attempted murder.
Less than two weeks ago near the Maliseti sports hall another North African citizen was stabbed in the street, that time in the afternoon, with less serious consequences. The possible connection between the two episodes remains to be verified.
