A Flexplorer 165 sold by Cantiere delle Marche

The Cantiere delle Marche announces the sale of its sixth explorer yacht in 2024: it is a Flexplorer 165, which is the largest model to date from the shipyard led by Vasco Buonpensiere, co-founder and CEO.

“The news of the sixth sale in three months needs no further comment! Despite the ups and downs of the nautical industry, we are reaping the benefits of our constant and far-sighted commitment. Today, the sale of the Flexplorer 165 represents a new chapter in the history of Cantiere delle Marche,” said Buonpensiere.

“While the nautical market is in decline, Cantiere delle Marche remains steadfast, facing every challenge with coherence to the company mission and great determination. In a phase of general market decline, it is clear that we are bucking the trend, with commercial successes arriving at an impressive pace for a shipyard of our size”, says Buonpensiere. “When the market drops, only excellent products pass the test of a crisis. We can proudly say that our explorer yachts have earned a great reputation for their quality construction and the ingenuity of their design.”

“What distinguishes the Flexplorer 165 is not only its high-impact design or its cutting-edge technical features, but the values of the shipyard that it embodies,” added Ennio Cecchini, co-founder and president of Cantiere delle Marche.

With a total length of 49.90 meters, a width of 9 meters and a gross tonnage just under 500 Gt, the Flexplorer 165 features the external design of the series signed by Sergio Cutolo/Hydro Tec, which – informs the shipyard in the his note – will also develop its naval architecture and complex engineering.

The interiors of the yacht, designed by the Hus studio, will be characterized by a sober elegance characterized by a design that transcends the ephemeral trends of fashion and stands the test of time. The Flexplorer 165 will be equipped with an exceptional carbon A-frame crane with a load capacity exceeding 4.5 tonnes to easily launch and haul a large tender and some water toys. The yacht will be powered by two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, with a power of 970 kW each.

The European shipowner has already announced that the Flexplorer 165 will be offered on the charter market; further information on the project – concludes the note – will be provided as soon as possible by the shipyard.
