Important news at home Unieuro Forli: President Nicosanti announced in a press conference the renewal of coach Antimo Martino’s contract. His words: “We are ending an extremely positive year, then obviously the balance sheets are made at the end of the championship. We have experienced an important new year for us despite the difficulties at the beginning of the year, which we cannot forget in terms of costs, completely different to due to the new work order. So we set out again to build this year’s team also with some unknowns, but also with various certainties, such as some players, this year’s structure, and the certainty of having created a team in these few years. structured company that put the word seriousness in front of every decision made. Among the certainties from which we started are the people who built this year’s roster: Antimo Martino and Renato Pasquali and, to do this, you need a club and with it those who follow it on a daily basis. In addition to the club, the most important protagonist was the coach. With Antimo we have made an extraordinary journey, in terms of results and continuity. We had had the objective for some time to continue with Antimo Martino and today it seemed appropriate to sit down with Antimo and follow up on the future of both, in a company that is certainly not the richest on an economic level in the panorama, but certainly rich in terms of values. And we asked ourselves what we can do together for the next two years. I am happy to be able to announce that in a few minutes we will sign the contract extension here together with Antimo.”

Coach’s comment Antimo Martino: “I thank the President and all the members for the kind words, just as I thank Renato Pasquali for the trust given and renewed in me. In this last period I have felt the company’s esteem and the mutual pleasure of continuing together. It is clear that we have come from two very good years and it may seem simple to only think about the positive aspects and the results. But the values of a club, its organization and its ambition are also at stake were crucial for me and therefore today I am very happy to renew with Forlì. I believe it is right to give continuity to what has been done up to now. It is important for me and I am sure it is also important for the club I thank the club, my family present here, my agent Lapenna and obviously also the fans, both those of the Curva Nord Forlì and many who stopped me on the street in the last few days to ask me if I was staying. Today they have the answer.”

Giuseppe Febbri, member of the Pallacanestro 2.015 Forlì Foundation: “I am proud to represent the Foundation at this moment. Today I like to underline that the seriousness and cohesion of the team are the mirror of the cohesion of the members. It is an important day for all of us and I thank Antimo Martino for what he has done and for what will do for our society.”

General Manager Renato Pasquali: “I’m pleased that in the words of the President and coach we talked about planning and ambition. An indication of seriousness. It’s right for ambition to be there, respecting the members and the passion they put into it. As for Antimo, living in close contact with him, first of all he is a person I respect very much. As a coach, he is a coach capable of making a group of players a team. As far as I’m concerned, he is one of the best clear and in everyday life he demonstrates it to all those who collaborate with him.”.
