There 31st edition of StraBenevento organized by AMATORI PODISM BENEVENTO, in collaboration with IaFidal and with the patronage of the Municipality of Benevento, the Province of Benevento and the Campania Region, ended with the victories of the Moroccan national team Abdellah Latam (29′ 15″) and of Sofia Yaremchuk first in the Women’s category with a time of 32′ 49″.
From the first kilometers it was a head to head between Latam and the European champion Daniele Meucci (29′ 27″) who saw the victory snatched in the last hundred meters by an overbearing lunge from the Moroccan international.
As many as 980 registered at the start, with teams coming from various parts of Italy. The first seven at the finish line for the men’s category: Abdellah Latam (29′ 15″), Daniele Meucci (29′ 27″), Gilio Iannone (30′ 39″), Wings Akinou (31′ 06″), Ismail Adim (31′ 44″), Marco Lagona (32′ 34″), Daniele Russian (32′ 55″).
