Investments in new road infrastructure for 319 million euros and 120 million euros for the maintenance of existing ones.
These are the numbers relating to Lombardy contained in the Program Contract between Anas and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, approved by Cipess and presented today at Palazzo Lombardia by the president of the Lombardy Region, by the regional councilor for Infrastructures and Public Works and by the undersecretary of State to the presidency of the Council of Ministers. Overall, there are 19 new road works included in the CDP.
PRESIDENT OF LOMBARDY: FUNDAMENTAL WORKS DESIRED BY THE REGION – “The Contract – highlighted the governor – puts in black and white fundamental works strongly desired by the Region and for which we worked hard to ensure that they were included in the programming of the state company Anas. We listened to the territories and acted as interpreters of their needs. These are strategic interventions that will make traffic in Lombardy more efficient for the benefit of citizens and the economic-productive system”.
INFRASTRUCTURE COUNCILOR: WORKING TOWARDS IMPORTANT OBJECTIVES – “The inclusion of the works in the Anas Contract – underlined the Infrastructure Councilor – represents a guarantee with respect to obtaining the financing necessary for their realization. Several works have already been financed and contracted, others will be in the coming years. As a Region we will continue to monitor the progress of the interventions and work with the Government to achieve common objectives. Furthermore, the Anas Cdp is a flexible tool that can be updated and integrated with further interventions. Let’s not forget that the road infrastructures financed with a view to the 2026 Olympics are also added to the works included in the document, works functional to the Games but also essential and necessary for the Lombardy road system”.
UNDERSECRETARY OF STATE: REDEVELOPMENT AND STRENGTHENING OF THE NETWORK – “The Cipess – stated the Undersecretary of State – has approved the new Mit-Anas 2021-2025 program contract, with which a complex list of works worth 22.5 billion euros already allocated will be financed, useful for the country’s infrastructural development. Overall, Anas in Lombardy has activated investments worth 4 billion euros. 1 billion is intended for the scheduled maintenance of existing roads. Specifically, among the main investments already financed we remember the connection works between the SS 11 in Magenta and the Milan West Ring Road – Abbiategrasso variant and adaptation of the Abbiategrasso Vigevano section up to the bridge over the Ticino river: 1st section from Magenta in Vigevano – Section A. Lombardy can count on important resources for the redevelopment, strengthening of the road network, for the improvement of transport, its safety, maintenance and expansion”.
Below is the list of works included in the Mit/Anas 2021-2025 program contract.
PROVINCES OF VARESE AND MILAN
– SS 341 – Gallaratese. Construction works on the road connection between Samarate and the border with the Province of Novara. Section between the A8 motorway and the SS 527 in the Municipality of Vanzaghello. 1st section between Km 6+500 and Km 8+844. Cost of the intervention: 223,870,065 euros, already assigned. Work already contracted.
– SS 341 – Gallaratese. Construction works on the road connection between Samarate and the border with the Province of Novara. Section between the A8 motorway and the SS 527 in the Municipality of Vanzaghello. 2nd section between Km 0+000 and Km 6+500. Cost of the intervention: 366,778,125 euros. 2,500,000 euros have already been allocated. Work to be contracted out in 2025.
PROVINCE OF VARESE
– Peduncle of Vedano Olona (SS 342 – Briantea).
– New bridge over the Ticino between Oleggio and Lonate Pozzolo (included in the Anas planning contract for Piedmont).
PROVINCES OF MILAN AND PAVIA
– Vigevano-Malpensa (SS 11 – SS 494 – Padana Superiore and Vigevanese). Connection works between the SS 11 in Magenta and the Western Ring Road of Milan – Abbiategrasso variant and adaptation of the Abbiategrasso Vigevano section up to the bridge over the Ticino river: 1st section from Magenta to Vigevano – Section C. Cost of the intervention: 169,434,770 euros, already assigned. Work already contracted.
– Vigevano-Malpensa (SS 11- SS 494 – Padana Superiore and Vigevanese). Connection works between the SS 11 in Magenta and the Milan West Ring Road – Abbiategrasso variant and adaptation of the Abbiategrasso Vigevano section up to the bridge over the Ticino river: 1st section from Magenta to Vigevano – Section A. Cost of the intervention: 184,189,619 euros. 17,000,000 euros have already been allocated, while the remaining 167,189,619 have been covered with a proposal in the 2024 Budget Law. The work can be contracted out in 2024.
PROVINCE OF PAVIA
– New Becca Bridge (SS 617 – Bronese). Construction works on a new bridge over the Po river along the SS 617 ‘Bronese’. Cost of the intervention: 168,750,000 euros.
PROVINCE OF LODI
– ‘Faustina’ roundabout overpass (SS 9 – ‘Emilia’). Overpass at the roundabout called ‘Faustina’. Cost of the intervention: 20,295,430 euros. Work to be contracted out in 2025.
PROVINCE OF MANTOVA
– New bridge between Ostiglia and Revere (SS 12 – Abetone and Brennero). Construction of a new road deck to replace the existing ones (railway and road) on the Po in Ostiglia and Revere. Cost of the intervention: 61,926,606 euros. Already assigned 3,500,000 euros. Work to be contracted out in 2025.
PROVINCES OF BRESCIA AND MANTOVA
– SS 343 – Asolana. Enhancement of the stretch of SS 343 ‘Asolana’ between the municipalities of Acquafredda (BS) and Asola (MN).
PROVINCE OF BRESCIA
– Eastern variant of Edolo (SS 42 – del Tonale and della Mendola). Cost of the intervention: 141,945,994 euros, already assigned. Work already contracted.
– Alternative tunnel between Gargnano and Tignale (SS 45 Bis – western Gardesana). Construction works of the variant tunnel between km 86+567 and km 88+800 aimed at subtending the current narrow-section pointed tunnels. Cost of the intervention: 126,225,000 euros. Already allocated 6,459,936 euros. Work to be contracted out in 2025.
PROVINCE OF COMO
– Variation of Solbiate Comasco (SS 342 – Briantea). Variation to the town of Solbiate Comasco. Cost of the intervention: 32,292,480 euros. Already assigned 1,500,000 euros.
PROVINCE OF SONDRIO
– Bypass the Ruinon landslide (SS 300 – of the Gavia Pass). Road by-pass intervention on the former SP 29 of 3 km, category C1 section, joining the inhabited area of Santa Caterina at the level of the entrance to the Sobretta torrent, to return to the former SP of Gavia near the inhabited area of San Antonio, for safety measures of the Ruinon landslide. Cost of the intervention: 157,410,000 euros. 100,000,000 euros have already been allocated.
– Tartano – Sondrio variant (SS 38 – Stelvio).
PROVINCE OF BERGAMO
– Comun Nuovo variant (SP 119 – Stezzano-Spirano). Variation to the SP 119 in the municipality of Comun Nuovo. Cost of the intervention: 7,851,487 euros. Work to be contracted out in 2025.
PROVINCES OF BERGAMO AND LECCO
– Lecco-Bergamo connection, Calolziocorte variant (SS 639 – of the Pusiano and Garlate lakes). Variant to the SS 639 in the territory of the province of Lecco, included in the Municipalities of Lecco, Vercurago and Calolziocorte (Calolziocorte Variant).
– Lecco-Bergamo connection, Cisano Bergamasco variant, Lot 2 (SS 639 – of the Pusiano and Garlate lakes). Lecco-Bergamo connection, SP ex SS 639 of the Pusiano and Garlate lakes (Cisano Bergamasco variant – Lot 2).
PROVINCE OF CREMONA
– New Casalmaggiore Bridge (SS 343 – Asolana).
