From 13 to 18 May Librinfesta returns to Alessandria: the program
Descriptive text here

ALESSANDRIA – As always, a very rich program will characterize the next edition of Librinfestathe literature festival for girls and boys of Alexandriaorganized by the cultural association “The Storyteller” with the participation of the municipal administration of Alessandria. Appointment from 13 to 18 May with the 2024 edition, also supported by CRT Foundation, Social Foundation, Banca Popolare di Novara Foundation and Guala Closures Group.

New this year is the main location: the event will be hosted by Cloister of Santa Maria di Castello, with activities both outdoors and in internal rooms; Furthermore the Francesca Calvo Civic Library and some libraries and venues in the city will host special events for schools and open to the public. The event, born in 2003, thus reaches the important milestone of the 21st edition and will have as its subject “Di Tempo in Tempo” to which it adds the motto, “Festina lente”, attributed by Suetonius to the Roman emperor Augustus and adopted by the family of the Medici (15th to 18th centuries), which means “Hurry up slowly”, as an exhortation to act quickly, but with caution.

The invitation is therefore to participate in the festival and to linger, trying to recover that time that contemporaneity tends to take away from us; taking time does not mean wasting time, but rather it is a way to indulge in reflections and plan the best actions: time to read, to be with others, to cultivate one’s passions, to build bridges of solidarity; a time to rediscover our child side, through the stories read and told.

The program will be full of activities for children, teenagers and adults with more than 20 creative and educational workshops bookable through the festival website. Many authors will participate in this edition: Andrea Valente, Antonio Ferrara, Anna Lavatelli, Bruno Tognolini, Chiara Valentina Segré, Daniela Palumbo, Emanuela Nava, Fabrizio Silei, Febe Sillani, Giuliana Facchini, Luca Cognolato, Luigi Dal Cin, Matteo Corradini, Michele D’Ignazio, Pino Pace, Roberto Morgese, Nicoletta Costa, Valentina Cavallaro, Valentina Sagnibene. This year’s guest country is Sweden, represented by the author Cilla Jackert who will meet students, teachers and free users in harmony with the spirit of sharing and exchange that has always animated Librinfesta.
