The students of Legnano tackle the topic of immigration at Tirinnanzi: “Educating in complexity”

Full theater for a meeting enhanced by the musical “Under the same sky” which talks about nLampedusa shipwreck of 3 October 2013. Gnow in its 40th performance

Legnano – A morning dedicated to studying the topic of immigration for the students ofISIS Bernocchi, IS Carlo dell’Acqua and ISIS Pontii to the Tirinnanzi theatre of Legnano.

Here the students were introduced to the topic by the lively musical “Under the same sky” staged by the students of the G. Marconi scientific, musical and dance high school in Pesaro. The show, which has now reached its end 40esam replies in Italian and European theatres, he told of the tragic events of nLampedusa shipwreck of 3 October 2013cost the life of 368 migrantsand of some young Italians who, having left by boat for an evening of fun, instead used their vehicle to save, at night, around forty shipwrecked people.

A strong introduction to the topic, which was then better articulated by the students themselves, and in particular by the representatives of those classes who, over the course of the year, were in Lampedusa and Brussels to address precisely these issues and, more generally , those of human rights.

You have to put your own experience into addressing the issue of immigration – A professor from Dell’Acqua explained to the students – Because there are those who just hear about it and those who are the children or grandchildren of those who are immigrants. The challenge for schools during these initiatives is to educate on complexity, because we realize that talking about immigration involves talking about issues that are social, political, religious. It’s all very complex, but it’s that complexity that shapes us“.

The meeting was also attended by the mayor of Legnano, Lorenzo Radice and the MEP Maria Angela Danzi.
