Spa dispute. Twinning Acireale-Sciacca would be much more than a symbol

It certainly goes far beyond a symbolic meaning,

what some might try to attribute to you, minimizing its significance, is the idea of ​​a twinning between the municipalities of Acireale and Sciacca. The spa dispute, shared by both cities, probably has the need to increase what was once called “bargaining power” on the part of two territories that are certainly different from each other, certainly geographically distant but, undoubtedly, politically united by the need that the pressure on the Region is even more robust. The Civic Spa Heritage Committee itself is convinced of this need, for which although the histories and current conditions of the Sciacca and Acireale spas are different and require different measures, it is useful to share a project also through twinning. The idea on which the Committee is working, a conference with the two mayors and, among other guests, professor Rosario Faraci of the University of Catania, author of a detailed and precise study on the condition and the perspectives.
