Missing teacher card, Teachers’ Guild: “Possible complaints”

There are dozens of sentences from the Courts of Parma and Piacenza which recognize the right of teachers employed on a fixed-term basis to have the so-called “teacher card” recognised, the annual voucher worth 500 euros to be used for professional updating or for purchase of aids useful for professional activity.

Yet the Ministry of Education (now also of Merit) does not carry out the sentences even though they have become final, an illegal behavior that has been perpetrated since the last legislature.

The Teachers’ Guild of Parma and Piacenza, through its coordinator Salvatore Pizzo, makes it known that if this illegal behavior still persists, it will invite the teachers concerned to present complaints so that the territorially competent prosecutor’s offices in the two provinces can criminally prosecute the technical managers and/or or politicians for “failure to execute a judge’s order”, a crime foreseen and sanctioned by article 388 of the Penal Code.
