Manfredonia, the Piscitelli fountain urgently needs cleaning
On one side the beautiful tourist port “Marina del Gargano”, the pride of the city of Manfredonia and a few meters away the “Piscitelli” fountain with significant artistic and historical value, left in a complete state of abandonment for some time.
The video images testify, unfortunately, to the terrible state of maintenance and care, with the greenish and putrid water, in which some goldfish and carp, evidently with a strong temper, still manage to fin.
But how is it possible that cleaning is not carried out, eliminating the slime that has accumulated? And what about the long-limbed basin next to it which should symbolize a river or stream, do we want to talk about it? Filled with mummified waste present since time immemorial, with brown water like that of the Ganges.
The care of a city is measured by small things and certainly, it is not a good business card, leaving that fountain further in that state of abandonment.
Please alert the maintenance workers or the volunteers who polished up the fountain in the municipal villa, such as Bruno Umbriano, Nardino Cinque and Nicola Illiceto, just to name a few.
They are ready to intervene, at least that’s what I was guaranteed verbally. Let’s restore dignity to this beautiful city.
