ANDREA OLIVA – The longest beach season ever is about to start. This is the hope at Palazzo Garampi. There are two dates to mark in the diary, set by the ordinance: May 25th, the official start of the season when the lifeboat sailors will take up service, and September 22nd, when they will finish their activity. But the season won’t end there. Climate changes are giving autumns to be experienced on the sand, so much so that the regional ordinance allows lifeguards, new this year, to remain open until and including the long weekend of November 2nd. The beach must be accessible until at least 10pm and illuminated from dusk to dawn. This year too, extended hours to enjoy the outdoor spaces even after sunset.
