Terni, 17 April 2024 – The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Section of the Terni Company arrested a 30-year-old Moroccan man, with no criminal record, in the act of committing the crime of aggravated assault.
In the late afternoon of last Monday, a request for intervention in Viale Turati was received at the Operations Center from some passers-by who had noticed the young man attacking and beating a 40-year-old woman on the street.
Upon the arrival of the patrol, the young man was immediately blocked by the military and the woman was rescued by 118 personnel and taken to hospital, where the doctors found injuries with a prognosis of 10 days.
From the reconstruction carried out by the military it emerged that the two had had a tormented relationship, interrupted by the woman a few days earlier: having met at the request of the 30-year-old to clarify things, the discussion had immediately degenerated and the woman had been attacked with punches and kicks until they intervened some passers-by came to his defense.
This led to the arrest and detention of the 30-year-old in a security room awaiting the immediate trial, which took place yesterday afternoon, following which the Judge ordered his release with a ban on approaching the police station and the application of an electronic bracelet.
