Municipal elections Bari 2024, Bellomo (Lega): “The Left is split”

“Beyond the joint declaration of Laforgia and Leccese, frankly embarrassing for both, the only incontrovertible fact is this: the left must be divided in the municipal elections of Bari, split into two candidacies which certify an irreparable fracture, while the centre-right has a single candidate, the expression of the entire coalition and of a party, the League, which has demonstrated that it also knows how to govern territories, not only in the North, when called upon to do so”. The speaker is the deputy of the League, Davide Bellomo, commenting on the official nature of the ‘separate race’ in the centre-left, for the 2024 Bari Municipal elections, which will see Michele Laforgia and Vito Leccese on the field. For the united center-right, however, there will be Fabio Romito.

“This is the truth – claims Bellomo -, without forgetting the further conflicting visions that exist in the left area, starting from those rekindled in recent days with the Five Star Movement, for the government of the city. Not to mention the scandals and arrests, with one of the two candidates denouncing the polluting of the vote that would have characterized the primaries themselves, announced and soon cancelled. The traction of the Northern League, entrusted to the resourcefulness and vision projected towards the future of councilor Fabio Romito, therefore represents an element of positivity for a city devastated by decades of misgovernment by the Emiliano-Decaro duo”.

“We are sure – he remarks -. that the voters of Bari will not miss this historic opportunity to send these gentlemen home once and for all. Reflecting on what administrative model they have in mind for themselves and for generations to come. We want to finally make Bari a city that grows and develops in a balanced way, guaranteeing safety, efficiency and quality of life. The vote for Fabio Romito represents the real alternative for transparent, efficient and innovative management. Also through that project of differentiated autonomy, often the subject of unfounded criticism, which aims to strengthen the ability of territories to manage their resources directly and more effectively. A principle that the League has always considered fundamental for the relaunch of the South and all areas of our country” concludes Bellomo.
