two other cases against the former general manager of the Ospedali Riuniti, Dattoli, were archived

Two more proceedings against the former general director of the Ospedali Riuniti of Foggia, Vitangelo Dattolithey definitely were archived.

Dattoli, defended in both cases by the lawyer Antonio La Scalahe replied in one of several workplace safety violations and in the other of serious negligent injuries following a complaint presented by the victim’s family.

In particular, these are proceedings instituted for facts other than those which are the subject of archive from a few days ago.

In the two cases archived today, the former general director of the Ospedali Riuniti demonstrated his total non-involvement in the disputed facts, so much so that the Foggia Public Prosecutor’s Office itself made a request for dismissal, confirmed in recent days by the competent investigating judge. In particular, the investigators, following the analysis of the documentation acquired and specific technical consultancy, stated that «the harmful event does not appear to be related, from an etiological point of view, to the violation of precautionary accident prevention rules by the suspect».

The story originated from a detailed complaint from a patient who accused the hospital of having suffered more or less serious injuries due to a series of structural-organizational deficiencies and violations of accident prevention regulations. In reality, the investigations accurately reconstructed the facts, confirming the validity and goodness of the actions of the then general director Dattoli, as declared by his trusted lawyer La Scala.
