Floral displays, thematic exhibitions, educational workshops, figurative arts, theater and music, with flowers and environmental sustainability as protagonists. Return to Sanremo, on the weekend of 27 and 28 April, Villa Ormond in bloom, a free entry event organized by the Villa Ormond Foundation with the contribution of, among others, the Municipality of Sanremo, the Liguria Region, Confindustria Imperia and ance. “This year too, the Villa Ormond Foundation wanted to open the doors of the Villa and the park for Villa Ormond in Fiore”, he said this morning, Livio Emanueli, head of the Villa Ormond Foundationat the presentation of the event.
“An event – he added – in which the protagonists are flowers, their scents and their colours. A typical product of our territory, which bears the name of Sanremo in the world. The horticultural sector is fundamental for the economy of our territory and for us it is important to enhance it. Nature will also be the protagonist in the various moments dedicated to raising awareness of environmental sustainability, which is fundamental for our future and that of our children”.
Over the course of the weekend, installations created by the Consortium of Municipalities of the Sanremo Basin, flower artists, theatre, educational activities for families, chamber and live music will alternate. Like every year, the Villa Ormond Foundation has also planned a series of events in the previous days, “Waiting for Villa Ormond in Fiore“, starting from Tuesday 23 April, with Fiormenti, a school orientation activity on the horticultural sector organized in collaboration with the Liguria Region, in which 180 school students will participate. Show cooking will be planned, in which recipes will be made with edible flowers. Furthermore, educational events will be held for children, in collaboration with the Science Festival, which will involve over 700 students; technical conferences, a traveling theater show with tasting and a demonstration on plant pruning.
