Latina Social Mediation celebrates Earth Day with new plantings and workshops for children. The initiative will take place on Sunday 21 April in Parco San Marco and Latina Scalo

On April 21st, on the occasion of Earth Day, the Green Mood Social Mediation group will organize a special event dedicated to raising awareness of environmental issues and enhancing public green spaces in the city of Latina. The event will take place in two distinct moments during the day, offering citizens the opportunity to participate and contribute actively. The initiative will take place in the morning, from 9.30 to 13, at the San Marco Park in Latina; and in the afternoon, from 4pm to 7pm, it will move to Latina Scalo, precisely to the garden of the Minors Center and around the War Memorial. This day aims to involve the local community and promote collaboration for the environmental well-being of the city and the community.

A central aspect of this initiative is the tangible contribution to the enhancement of urban greenery. During the event, the Social Mediation project will donate to the city around forty new shrubs and various ground cover flowering plants, kindly donated by the “I Giardini di Marzo” nursery. These plants will be planted during the same day, thus contributing to enriching the green heritage of Latina.

The day will be enriched by interactive workshops aimed at children, promoting environmental awareness from a young age. At Parco San Marco, children will be able to participate in the “Plant a Seed” workshop from 10.30 to 11.30, while in Latina Scalo “L’Orto dei Piccoli” will be organized from 4 to 5 pm. These activities are designed to educate young people on gardening practices and the importance of biodiversity.
