Sassari. Two women in a continuous search for and support each other on one side and on the other the continuous search for balance towards the dual. These are the themes of the third appointment of Primavera a Teatro (XIII edition), which on Saturday 20 April at 8pm, in the Sala Estemporada in via Venezia, in Sassari, brings to the stage “Kyme” by the Campania company Art Garage and “Balancier” by the Lazio company Mandala Dance Company.
In the Art Garage show, Maria Anzivino and Marcella Martusciello describe Emma Cianchi’s choreographies with harmonious movements, in which the stage actions draw swirling plots and growing dynamics. The flow of the dance is elegant and powerful but at the same time sweet and refined, capable of framing the feelings of two delicate female beings seeking mutual support.
A peculiar characteristic of the Pozzola company are the live performances, the sound installations and the visual environment. ArtGarage has always supported choreography and live entertainment, producing both young choreographers and the now stable collective made up of not only the choreographer Emma Cianchi, but also Gilles Drubroca as video-creative and Dario Casillo as sound designer. In their experiments, the artists combine and contaminate languages and investigate the infinite creative possibilities through the use of new technologies.
Balancier by Mandala Dance company is instead a work created with concept, choreography and direction by Paola Sorressa. At the center of the dance investigation is the search for balance, both static and dynamic. A desire in which all human beings seem to recognize themselves but which, in concrete terms, finds an answer in the infinite oscillation towards the dual, an obligatory dimension which however never manages to be reached.
Since 2010, Mandala Dance Company has carried out its activity in Italy and abroad, offering productions for large events up to site-specific, multidisciplinary, multimedia performances with original and live music, collaborating with numerous professionals. With over twenty-five productions and more than fifty shows per year, it receives residencies and awards for choreography, boasts several co-productions with theaters and festivals and presents itself as an author’s company, embracing the language of the founder and artistic director Paola Sorressa.
At the end of the exhibition, the Aperitif with the artist will be offered again, which has now become an unmissable event for the event directed by Livia Lepri, in order to build contacts and relationships between the artists and the spectators.
