“We confirm our desire to both remain on the field in view of the electoral appointment of 8 and 9 June. There is no other way, at this point, to mobilize in the electoral challenge the entire democratic and progressive front which has been committed, for months, in support of both.” They declare it in a joint note Michele Laforgia and Vito Leccesecandidates for mayor in Bari.
“Even if we are divided in the first round, we want to strongly reiterate that we are both on the same side, alternative to an arrogant right, devoid of arguments, retrograde in terms of rights, social and environmental justice. A right wing with Northern League influence, which with the wicked project of differentiated autonomy mortifies the territories and communities of the south of our country”.
“In the next few hours we will therefore propose to the political forces that support our candidacies a pact that includes a common commitment to guarantee the transparency of all lists, mutual support in the event of a run-off and, if one of us is elected mayor, the willingness to build a government team that enhances the experiences and skills of both sides”.
