A 22-year-old who pretended to be a doctor on duty at the medical guard of the ASL of Valentano (in the province of Viterbo) for almost a year has been unmasked, performing injections and therapies with the consent of three real colleagues, aware of the fact that he was not even a student in medicine. The carabinieri of the Capodimonte station reported him on charges of abusive practice of the profession, following careful investigations initiated by some reports. The boy, without any qualification, would have carried out outpatient and home medical visits between January 2023 and February 2024 without knowing the patients.

The complicity of doctors

The investigations made it possible to ascertain that the 22-year-old would always have acted in the presence, and with the consent, of three real doctors from the same medical emergency service. Fully aware that the boy was not a doctor or a medical student, nor that he was in possession of specific qualifications, they were also reported free for complicity in the crime.
