Sunday 21 April the Archeoclub of Italy headquarters in Matera “Matàr”in collaboration with the Made in Grottole cultural associationorganize one guided tour in the municipality of Grottole, in the name of the peculiarities and characteristics of the Lucanian village, among the churches and the castle, passing through the main square and the cellars, in a walk along winding paths.

Lunch will follow at the restaurant, in the suggestive setting of Bosco Coste, not far from the town centre.

He claims Leo Montemurro President of the Matera branch of the Archeoclub:

The excursion is open to all those who want to rediscover the ancient beauties of the Lucanian villagein order to promote the environmental and architectural richness of the province of Matera.

The event is part of the project “From Village to Village”promoted by Archeoclub of Italywith the purpose of tell the story of the different Italian villages through the contribution and initiative of its local branches, scattered throughout the national territory, such as the Archeoclub headquarters in Matera; and other territorial associations.

There departure from Matera is scheduled for 8.30 am from Piazza Matteotti (participants must have their own car).

The return to Matera is scheduled for 6.00 pm.
