Piedmont Rally more difficult than expected for Giordano-Siragusa

It was a more difficult weekend than expected but, nevertheless, with some positive aspects that experienced by Matteo Giordano and Manuela Siragusa at the “ Rally del Piemonte”.

A spectacular race, with a huge audience and an enormous media following, the Langhe rally saw the couple from Cuneo encounter two technical problems: on Friday, in the second of three special stages, a steering problem stopped the Renault Clio Rally3 of Kimera Racing in collaboration with Alma Racing.

Once the damage was repaired, car number 49 returned to the race on Saturday with the SuperRally formula, managing to record some very good times in the first lap of the Diano d’Alba (30th overall) and in the first of the Loazzolo – Santo Stefano (24th ° overall), only to then have to stop the car due to electrical problems at the end of the penultimate special stage.

Once the race was over, Matteo Giordano declared: “All things considered, in the few clean stages, i.e. without failures or times set due to the many accidents that occurred, Manuela and I found an excellent feeling with the car, managing to push; two problems of different origins have compromised the general classification, sorry but it’s not a drama either since for us this wonderful race was a test in view of the “Rallye Elba” which opens our IRC championship in the last weekend of April. We thank Tiesse Suzuki Asti, Kimera Racing and Alma Racing for the economic and technical support linked to this event”.
