The alleged perpetrators were identified thanks to investigations by the Mobile team and the Carpi police station. The analysis of the images taken by municipal and motorway cameras, as well as telephone traffic, was decisive. That day it was two robbers who broke into the credit institution with their faces distorted by an FP2 mask. Threatening them with a cutter, they ordered three customers and two employees to go inside a technical room to wait for the timed cash register to be opened, which would take place 20 minutes later.

Once they had withdrawn the money, 17 thousand euros, they fled in a car. In addition to the two perpetrators of the robbery, the other four participated in the various organizational and implementation phases of the robbery. Three of the five suspects were reached by the measure while they were already in prison, in Naples, for other crimes. And the recipient of the order to present himself to the police was also found in Naples, while the other two were in Siena and Ravenna.
