On 25 April the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria will be open to the public regularly, from 9.00 to 20.00, as part of the initiatives of the Minister of Culture Gennaro Sangiuliano on the occasion of Liberation Day with museums and state archaeological parks open free of charge.
Visitors will be able to admire the countless archaeological wonders on display at MarRc, including the Riace and Porticello Bronzes.
And reservations for the “Safari at MrRc” on April 24th have already been sold out: a traveling workshop for children conducted by the MarRc educational office to discover the historical and cultural events of Magna Graecia in a different and engaging way, through discovery of the animal world.
The activity is completely free for children, while for the companion it only costs the entrance ticket to the Museum.
Furthermore, on Wednesday 1st May, on the occasion of Labor Day, the National Archaeological Museum of Reggio Calabria will remain open and visitors will be able to access at the usual times, from 9:00 to 20:00, with a 6 euro ticket, given the coincidence with Wednesday at MarRc. Entrance is always free for under 18s. For young people aged 18 to 25 the ticket costs 2 euros.
Finally, on Sunday 5 May, the appointment with is renewed, the initiative of the Ministry of Culture which allows free entry, every first Sunday of the month, to museums and state archaeological parks. The visits will take place during the usual opening hours, with free access also to the MarRc. (ANSA)
